Program Introduction
In this program you will participate in life-like scenarios First
Responder training, use game playing to learn medical terminology,
learn anatomy and physiology through interactive computer software,
participate in team-building group activities, view special disease
related videos and learn through interaction with guest speakers from
industry. You will also learn about legal responsibility, medical
ethics, health care environments, safety, standard precautions and
medical research. In the learn-by-doing program you will learn to use:
automated external defibrillators, stethoscopes, sphygmomanometers, and
more. As this program prepares you for a future in a health care
related career, you will also participate in several community service
projects. You can showcase and demonstrate what you have learned at the
state HOSA competition.
